The spring show season in China doesn't get bigger than CMES, and the 8th Suzhou International Machine Tool Exhibition proved exactly that. Held from April 9 to 12, 2026 at the Suzhou International Expo Center in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, this year's event shattered records and brought together the brightest minds in precision manufacturing under one roof. For Kingred, it was an opportunity we had been preparing for, and one that delivered far beyond expectations.
Our showcase
Our booth featured live demonstrations of our latest wire EDM systems, showcasing their ability to cut precise geometries. We designed our exhibit to be interactive, not just a display, but a working floor demonstration that let procurement engineers and technical buyers evaluate our machines in real production conditions.
Conversations that mattered
What made this exhibition truly exceptional for Kingred wasn't just the foot traffic. It was the quality of it. The CMES organizers facilitated the attendance of 659 high-level buyers arriving in organized procurement delegations from leading industry associations and enterprises across the Yangtze River Delta and beyond. This meant that the professionals who stopped at our booth weren't browsing. They were evaluating, comparing, and purchasing.
Our team engaged in deep technical discussions with procurement professionals from technology companies spanning semiconductors, robotics, precision tooling, and mold manufacturing.
The exhibition's thematic emphasis on machine tool and automation integration aligned perfectly with the direction Kingred has been moving. Our EDM systems are designed with automation compatibility at their core, from automatic wire threading to integration-ready interfaces for smart factory environments. In a show where automation was a central theme, we were speaking the same language as our visitors.
What we're taking home

By the time the exhibition doors closed on April 12th, our team had exchanged notes with dozens of procurement engineers, held follow-up technical briefings with several key accounts, and generated strong on-site interest that translated into concrete next steps.
CMES Suzhou 2026 reinforced what we already believe, the market for high-precision EDM in China's technology and advanced manufacturing sectors is growing, and it's growing fast.
To everyone who stopped by our booth, tested our machines, and spent time in conversation with our engineers, thank you. Those discussions are exactly why we exhibit, and they are already shaping what Kingred brings to the floor next spring.
